About Clearwater Engineering
Clearwater Engineering is located in Derby, Kansas, about 5 miles southeast of Wichita where we have been a supplier to the aerospace industry since 1987. We currently have 2 modern, climate-controlled facilities in the Derby West End Industrial Park with a combined 35,000 square feet on 12.7 acres. Clearwater Engineering has developed into a modern supplier that has the engineering and manufacturing capabilities to meet much of the industries needs in machining, assembly, and supply chain integration.
Clearwater Engineering provides services in engineering utilizing CAD, verification and tool management systems such as CATIA, MASTERCAM, VERICUT and TDM for setup and tool management standardization. Jobs are managed through an advanced MRP system that utilizes a machine intelligence platform that is integrated with our MRP system to provide real-time machine and job performance visibility on an actionable level. These management systems combined with our AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 certified quality system provides the foundation needed for the effective management of our modern manufacturing company that is focused on performance through process and market-based management that utilizes the most advanced technologies in management systems, engineering, machining, and integration capabilities. Assembly
Clearwater’s 3,000 square feet of assembly space coupled with our inventory and supply chain management provides our customers with a source that has the capability to manage larger more complex assemblies.
We provide our defense customers with a multitude of Structural and Mechanical assembly capabilities requiring Bonding, Sealing, Riveting and other installations including Bearings, Bushings and complex mechanical and structural assemblies performed by our staff of highly trained assemblers that are ready to serve you.
Supply Chain Management
At Clearwater Engineering not only do we machine and assemble complex parts and equipment, but we also utilize our supply chain to enhance our capabilities providing the necessary capacity to meet the most demanding requirements. Integrating our suppliers into our workflow allows Clearwater Engineering the ability to offer a diverse range of capabilities with increased capacity and turn-key solutions for our customers.
Clearwater’s supply chain also provides our customers with capabilities such as grinding, wiring harnesses, hydro formed and sheet metal component parts and other special parts and hardware. Our ability to manage the supply chain provides our customers the advantage to reduce cost, improve lead-time, and the opportunity to procure their requirements with one supplier.
Clearwater Engineering is approved by the major OEM’s for most assembly procedures including: bearing and bushing installations, sealing, bonding and a multitude of fastener installations. We have the facilities to grow our assembly and manufacturing capability into larger structural assembly requiring a higher level of integration.
